All I have to do is look at the red succulence before me and I am salivating. The first bite sends a squeeze of pure delight into my mouth. A contrast of flavours and textures weaves a subtle magic that does not fail to captivate me.
I never tire of the slightly rough surface mixed with the sweet red juice that follows. Firm, crisp flesh is quickly consumed as I enjoy every morsel and immediately reach for more. My mouth is refreshed, leaving only a light and clean taste behind.
I wonder how something so perfectly luscious can be good for me, but that only enhances the pleasure.
The red stains on my fingers are all that is left to mark the experience. I eagerly await the next heart shaped fruit that will touch my lips.

Hi Jaya, a very sensual descpription! I really enjoyed how you used simple but expressive language to express the eating of a strawberry as a very passionate experience.

Hi Jaya
What a fabulous photo to accompany your description of enjoying strawberries. The colors are so vivid – as is your description. I love the image of the red stained figures left as evidence. My friend’s uncle has a strawberry farm and am familiar with those stains. I like how you incorporate both the feel, look and taste of the experience. I wonder if the scent of the ripe berries also adds to the experience for you?

Hi Jaya,
Sorry to have taken so long to write a comment — I thought I submitted one last week, but I must not have done it correctly.
When I reached the bottom of your piece, I was convinced that you were describing a strawberry, and then I laughed aloud when I read the title — good job.
Your description of the first bite sending a squeeze of pure delight into your mouth made my mouth water. You definitely captured the pleasure of this experience!
